Wishing Everyone A Wonderful Summer!

We are having an exciting and fun-filled summer so far! Although we got rather sun burned at the Prudential RideLondon cycle event last week, we enjoyed providing the tunes to help everyone pedal faster. The vibe was amazing, similar to the London Marathon that we played at a couple of months before with people having a really great time. Our regular Saturday audiences have been singing along to the tunes in our two newly written sets, these include ‘Year 3000′, ‘In Too Deep’, ‘Take on Me’, ‘Mr Brightside’, ‘Come on Eileen’ and ‘Use Somebody’, so come along and see a show soon if you can, we still have all the old favourites in our final set. Other recent shows have seen us floating up and down the Thames, performing amongst circus entertainers and helping many happy couples up and down the country tie the knot.

We also shot a new live video last week. This was completely unplanned, but when we arrived to play at a wedding beside two rivers and a stunning waterfall in the middle of the North Yorkshire Moors, we thought we would take some footage. Have a listen to the waterfall in the background of our performance of ‘I Will Wait';

Good news! We’ve now got some more Large size Hosen T-shirts! These are our best selling size so make sure you grab yours before they’re gone!

Our ‘Killing In The Name Of’ video has rocketed since January, reaching a massive 12,500 views! That’s 2,500 in the last two months! Check it here.

We also found this nice review of Belgo (and us included!) from last September;

We were kindly given this video by Ollie Denton of us performing Hey Jude at Katzenjammers;

If you’re unsure about heading down to Katzenjammers, then check it out!

Once again, make sure you keep up to date with us on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Instagram and we’ll see you again this Saturday at Katzenjammers for more of the above!

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year folks!

We’ve had a brilliant few months performing at more weddings than expected between September and New Years – we even had a wedding a few days before Christmas! Oktoberfest saw us return to a brilliant crowd at The Rusty Bicycle in Oxford and Christmas saw a return to North Street Bar for another sell out Bavarian Night. We appeared at The Wig & Pen in Northampton, Belgo Centraal in Covent Garden, Asda Coventry and Bavarian Beerhouse in Bristol for the first time as well as appearing in Time Out Magazine.

Our version of ‘Killing In The Name Of’ caught the attention of the internet again, featuring on Mashable’s ’13 Brass Band Cover Songs That Are Better Than The Originals’ which you can see here. It also reached a massive 10,000 views!

We also sold out of Large and Extra Large Hosen tees – not to worry though, we’ll have some more in stock very soon!

Katzenjammers has been fantastic as always, with crowds coming all the way from Spain and even a fan from Chicago to see us!

Make sure you keep up to date with us on Facebook here and Twitter here and we’ll see you this Saturday for some more Katzenjammers fun!

Happy Summer Folks!

Happy Summer Folks! It’s almost over now, and in a few weeks we’ll be heading into Oktoberfest!

We’ve had a brilliant few months including a variety of Weddings in many different places as well as three festivals this year.

At the end of April/Beginning of May we hosted Bavarian Beerhouse’s Springfest (photos here!), with both Friday and Saturday nights going down a storm! In July we headlined one of the shows at Saffron Walden’s 8 Day Weekend (photos here!), and just under two weeks ago we were performing in sunny Devon for Beautiful Days Festival.

We’ve had more weddings than we can throw sticks at – congratulations to all the Brides and Grooms. We’ve also got more to come in September.

At the end of September we return to The Rusty Bicycle in Oxford for another night of ‘Off-The-Wall Oompah!’ We also have some Northampton dates at the beginning of October – watch this space for more info!

Keep your eyes peeled for the new CD – it’s coming soon (promise!). We also have our beautiful tshirts still for sale;

And don’t forget we’re at Katzenjammers every Saturday night from 8.30pm! :)

P.S. Don’t forget we’re also on Facebook and Twitter!

Happy Spring! :)

Happy Spring Folks! The Sun is finally out and here at HB we’re getting ready for plenty of Spring and Summer Sun!

Just to keep you up to date;

You may have seen from our Twitter and Facebook pages that we’ve had another brilliant month with three awesome Birmingham shows at both the Rose Villa Tavern in Hockley and The Yardbird in central Birmingham. As many of you who came know, the latter was in aid of the Douglas Macmillan Hospice and the great turnout has sure to have made a brilliant contribution to a well deserved cause.

Over the last month our video ‘Killing In The Name Of’ gained media attention in the US, being the only UK (or non US for that matter!) band to feature in Relix Magazine’s ‘Five For Friday’, being quoted as one of ‘five brass band covers that will make your head explode with awesomeness’ as part their Mardi Gras festival write up. You can see the full article here;

Our friends over at 21st Century Brass also linked the article for us :)

We’ll soon be back in Birmingham, performing as part of the event ‘The Oobleck Oompah’ at new venue ‘Alfie Birds’ in the Custard Factory on Friday July 4th. With a gourmet pizzeria/eatery and an awesome show lined up, it would be good to see all of our Birmingham fans there! You can check out their Facebook page here.

Don’t forget you can also catch us at Bavarian Beerhouse in Tower Hill between 24th and 26th of April from 7pm, and at Bavarian Beerhouse Old Street between 1st and 3rd of May from 7pm*. These shows are ticketed entry (but include a free shot of Jaegermeister!), so make sure you book soon! You can find booking information here.

Before we sign off we also owe an apology to those people who thought we were actually supporting One Direction on their next tour – sorry folks! It was a brilliant April Fools though ;)

*Don’t worry – we’ll still be at Katzenjammers on those Saturdays too! :)
